On January 8, 2001, the United States Mint celebrated the release of the New York quarter, at a ceremony in Albany, NY. The ceremony, held at the New York State Museum, marked the release of the eleventh state's quarter to be celebrated as a part of the 50 State Quarters® Program, and the first new quarter to be released in 2001. Teachers, below you will find several activities and links that will bring the excitement of New York's "State Quarter Day" into your classroom.
