The United States Mint released the Wyoming quarter on August 27, 2007. Wyoming is the forty-fourth state to be honored as a part of the 50 State Quarters® Program. Wyoming's quarter pictures an outline of a bucking horse and its rider. This image has appeared in all kinds of ways throughout the state, including on car license plates. Wyoming's quarter also shows the state's motto, "The Equality State." Wyoming women were the first in the nation to vote, serve on juries, and hold public office. Teachers, below you will find several activities and links that will bring the features of this coin and the excitement of the Wyoming "State Quarter Day" into your classroom!
