The United States Mint released the Wyoming quarter on August 27, 2007.  Wyoming is the forty-fourth state to be honored as a part of the 50 State Quarters® Program.

Wyoming's quarter pictures an outline of a bucking horse and its rider.  This image has appeared in all kinds of ways throughout the state, including on car license plates.  Wyoming's quarter also shows the state's motto, "The Equality State."  Wyoming women were the first in the nation to vote, serve on juries, and hold public office.

The Wyoming quarter features a bucking horse and its rider as well as the state motto "The Equality State."  Check out these related coins:

	2006 Nevada Quarter:  The Nevada quarter features wild stallions and snow capped mountains.  Learn more about the wild horses of this western state.
	1979–1981 Susan B. Anthony Dollar:  Susan B. Anthony's (1820–1906) brave fight to get women the right to vote earned her a place on the dollar coin.  She is known as a founder of the women's suffrage movement.

Quarter Games

	Here's a challenge for your students!  Put all the pieces of the Wyoming quarter back together—in three minutes or less!
