Games for grades 2 and 3
game icon: Plinky's Create-a-Card Plinky's Create-a-Card (Level 2 and Just for Fun):  While creating a greeting card for friends or family using a virtual "allowance," kids will identify U.S. coins and their values; skip-count; compare coin values using the terms and symbols "less than," "greater than," and "equal to"; do two-digit addition and subtraction; and do basic multiplication.
game icon: Cents of Color Cents of Color:  Through coloring coins from the 50 State Quarter® Program, kids will work on hand-eye coordination, visual awareness, fine motor skills, and color sense, and explore the state designs and their significance.
game icon: Puzzle Mint Puzzle Mint:  As they race the clock to complete this puzzle based on the 50 State Quarters Program, kids will use hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, time awareness, reasoning, and problem solving.
game icon: Golden Dollar Puzzle Golden-Dollar Puzzle:  While racing the clock to complete this puzzle based on the Sacagawea Golden Dollar, kids will use hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, time awareness, reasoning, and problem solving.
game icon: Making Change Making Change:  By creating their own coin images from supplied elements, kids will work on hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and basic mouse functions such as drag-and-drop.
game icon: Break the Bank Break the Bank:  While answering coin trivia questions to fill a piggy bank and then break it open, kids will work on fine motor skills, fact recall, and basic drag-and-drop mouse functions.  (They can also learn more about coin collecting at the Coin Collector's Workshop.)
game icon: Tools of the Trade Tools of the Trade:  By helping Inspector Collector correctly separate his coin collecting tools from plumbing tools, kids will work on fine motor skills, fact recall, identification and grouping, and basic drag-and-drop mouse functions.  (They can also learn more about coin collecting at the Coin Collector's Workshop.)
game icon: Quarter Explorer Quarter Explorer:  This fun adventure explores the states and their 50 State Quarters Program designs.  As Bill the Mint Buffalo guides kids through activities and state trivia questions, kids work on multi-step directions, fine motor skills, geography of the United States and map awareness, fact recall, and identification skills.  Three levels of difficulty allow students to progress through the game as skills increase.
game icon: Presidential Portraits Presidential Portraits:  While testing their knowledge of the presidents that are featured on U.S. coins, kids will work on fine motor skills, fact recall, and mouse drag-and-drop functions.  This activity can be used in conjunction with Presidential $1 Coin Lesson Plans.
game icon: Dollar Dive Dollar Dive:  While trying to escape Sea Monster, kids help Plinky dive for Presidential $1 coins.  Kids will work on adding and subtracting using coins, coin identification and recognition, hand-eye-coordination, time awareness and management, and fine motor skills.
