America the Beautiful Quarters® Day in the Classroom

Grand Canyon National Park

Beginning in 2010, the United States Mint will issue 56 quarter-dollar coins featuring designs depicting national parks and other national sites as part of the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Program. The Grand Canyon National Park quarter was the fourth of 2010 and the fourth overall in the America the Beautiful Quarters Program.

Did you know that the 2010 Grand Canyon National Park quarter wasn't the first quarter to depict this park? In 2008, the Arizona quarter was released.
