Overview
Using the Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park quarter, the students will visit the park's website and view a video to understand more about volcanoes and the most recent Kilauea eruption. The class will discuss the geological history of the park and the effects that volcanoes have on a population. The students will research volcanoes' effects on climate, tourism, and the positive effects of volcanoes on the resources of the environment and report back to the class as news reporters.
