Coined a great lesson plan you'd like to share?  Or looking to toss around creative uses for coins in the classroom?  Glad to hear it!  To keep this site fresh and growing, we need a mint group of educators to join our Teachers' Network.

By joining the United States Mint H.I.P. Pocket Change^™ Teachers' Network, you will be able to actively share and receive new educational plans and materials.  In the Teachers' Network, you will find procedures for donating lesson plans for possible inclusion on the H.I.P. Pocket Change Web site.  You will also be privy to the evaluation criteria used to select appropriate educational material for posting on the site.

We are always eager to add to our collection of exciting Social Studies, Language Arts, Math, and Science offerings.  If you'd like to start brainstorming lesson ideas, here are two things to keep in mind:

1. The primary goal of this site's activities is to stimulate lifelong pleasure in learning about coins and U.S. history.
2. Lesson plans must clearly spell out what students will know and be able to do after completing the Social Studies, Language Arts, Math, or Science lesson.  For more information, read about how this site addresses National Standards.
