Over the past month, several changes have been made to the United States Mint H.I.P. Pocket Change Web site, specifically with teachers in mind!  To help you learn about "What's New For You", explore some of the links that have been listed below.

What's New For You—You can now visit What's New For You any time to find out all of the new features on the site!  That's right—we've made this monthly newsletter into a permanent page on the H.I.P. Pocket Change Web site.  To find it, simply visit the Teachers page and click on What's New For You!

Teachers' Network members who have opted to receive this newsletter will continue to receive emails from us each month with a link to the What's New For You page on the site.

Back to School!—It's fall and that means back to school for students and teachers.  Check out this list of H.I.P. Pocket Change resources and start the year off right!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!—Visit this page for some haunting Halloween lore and learn all about the chilling part coins have played in the world of the gruesome.  Then, help the H.I.P. Pocket Change pals get dressed up for Halloween by taking the Costume Quiz.

Coin News

October Coin of the Month—Bill the Mint Buffalo can't wait to introduce you to his cousin, now featured on the Wisconsin quarter.  Moooo-ve on down to the Coin of the Month page to learn about "America's Dairyland" and explore the 30th coin to be released as part of the 50 State Quarters® Program.

Fun Facts—A new Fun Fact is available each month, but you don't have to settle for one fun fact at a time!  Just click on a fact at the top of any H.I.P. Pocket Change page and learn some little known stories of the United States Mint and American coinage!

Camp Coin

Height Medal—In 2004, Doctor Dorothy Height was awarded the congressional gold medal for her work in helping people exercise their civil rights.  Visit Medal Mania to learn more about Dr. Height and all of the important Americans that have earned medals in their honor!
