December Coin of the Month—Join the Bill the Mint Buffalo as he shares some interesting facts about the final quarter released in 2005, the West Virginia quarter, December's coin of the month. To celebrate its statehood, West Virginia shows the New River Gorge Bridge. Bill finds the answer to a question he's been asking for a long time: How come there's a West Virginia but no East Virginia? Find out the answer in this month's Coin of the Month page. Be sure to check out the West Virginia Lesson Plans for ways to incorporate this coin into your classroom!
Coloring Pages—Looking for some coloring fun? The United States Mint H.I.P. Pocket Change™ Web site is sprinkled with coin and character images for you to color; this page was created to let you find them all in one handy place. All you need is a printer and paints, crayons, markers, or colored pencils!
