Celebrate Independence Day!—Check out this page to learn more about the Declaration of Independence. This page includes brief informational text about the ratification of the Declaration and an interactive activity based on fun facts about some of its signers. Help your students learn that there is more to the 4th of July than fireworks!
July Coin of the Month—Join Bill the Mint Buffalo as he proudly presents the 1936 Battle of Gettysburg commemorative half dollar. This coin commemorates the Battle of Gettysburg, one of the most important battles of the American Civil War. Be sure to check out the accompanying Teacher Feature, Civil War Resources.
Time Machine—Visit San Francisco in 1906.in the wake of a major quake! Find out what Plinky the Mint Pig and her friend Suzanne see while walking through the city and learn about the "Granite Lady."
