2012 Native American $1 Coin Lesson Plans

The new 2012 Native American $1 Coin lesson plans are ready for you to use in your classroom!  The plans focus on the theme "Trade Routes in the 17th Century."  The lessons are designed for grades K through 8 and are available online for free!

Black History Month

Celebrate Black History Month with Inspector Collector.  Visit the Medal Mania page and share the collection of Congressional gold medals awarded to famous African-Americans with your students.

Presidents' Day

How did it come to be that we will celebrate Presidents' Day on February 20th this year?  Have your students read about this special day's history and find related links on this page devoted to Presidents' Day.   Also, be sure to download the free lesson plans and resource materials related to the Presidential $1 Coin Program.  It's a great way for students to learn more about the country's history and heritage.

Coin of the Month
