These features include coin-centric lesson plans based on national standards, created by teachers, covering a wide variety of content areas.
Be sure to also sign up for the Teachers’ Network. The Teachers’ Network will keep you abreast of the latest additions to the site and provide you with additional ideas and resources through the year.
Lewis & Clark Birthdays
Did you know that both Meriwether Lewis and William Clark had birthdays in August? Clark was born on August 1, 1770, and Lewis on August 18, 1774.
Learn more about these famous explorers in the Time Machine. Once you’re back in 1805, you can gather information, play related games, and link to other Lewis and Clark features, like the Westward Journey Nickel Series Lesson Plans.
Are you and your students ready for a mathematical coin challenge? Try the United States Mint’s version of the popular game Sudoku called "Coin-Doku."
This game uses dollar coins instead of numbers, has hints to help you along the way, and is just as enjoyable as the numbered version.
The summer issue of Making Cents, the quarterly e-newsletter, is here. Invite your students to read about newly released coins, our latest game, and ideas for summer coin fun.
