Design Competition

Kids' Baseball Coin Design Challenge logo. Batter Up! Our Baseball Coin Design Competition begins April 11. There are two competitions, the Baseball Coin Design Competition (ages 14 and up) and the Kids' Baseball Coin Design Challenge (ages 13 and under).

Happy 221st Birthday!

Celebrate the 221st birthday of the United States Mint by visiting the interactive timeline "Historic Highlights."

Financial Literacy Month

April is a great month to visit the Financial Literacy page to find a collection of fun activities, games and lesson plans that promote basic economic understanding.

National Coin Week

The theme for National Coin Week (April 21 through 27) is "Buffalo Nickel Centennial: Black Diamond Shines Again." Our National Coin Week page is full of helpful links to use in your classroom. It guides your students to a different online activity each day.

Making Cents

The spring issue of Making Cents, our "quarterly" e-newsletter, invites your students to read and solve. A Baseball Coin Design Challenge, $1 Coin Event, the quarter of the quarter (White Mountain National Forest) and word puzzle are all covered.

Coin of the Month

Image shows the back of the 2013 NA$1. Introduce your students to the 2013 Native American $1 Coin featuring a turkey, howling wolf, and turtle (all symbols of the clans of the Delaware Tribe). Thirteen stars represent the Colonies. Learn more with the April Coin of the Month page.
