United States Mint Releases Benjamin Harrison Presidential $1 Coin Products for Sale August 16
WASHINGTON - Collectors may place their orders for rolls, bags and boxes containing Benjamin Harrison Presidential $1 Coins beginning August 16, 2012, at noon Eastern Time (ET). Available product options and their prices are as follows:
Presidential $1 Coin 25-Coin Roll
Presidential $1 Coin 100-Coin Bag
Presidential $1 Coin 250-Coin Box
Presidential $1 Coin 500-Coin Box
All product options contain circulating quality coins that have never been released into circulation from either the United States Mint facility at Philadelphia or Denver. Packaging displays the name of the President, the mint of origin ("P" or "D") and the face value of the contents.
The obverse (heads side) design of the Benjamin Harrison Presidential $1 Coin is by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Phebe Hemphill. In addition to President Harrison's portrait, the design includes the inscriptions BENJAMIN HARRISON, IN GOD WE TRUST, 23rd PRESIDENT and 1889-1893. The reverse (tails side) design, by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Don Everhart, features a dramatic rendition of the Statue of Liberty and the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and $1. The inscriptions 2012, E PLURIBUS UNUM and the mint of origin are incused on the edge.
Orders will be accepted at the bureau's website, http://www/usmint.gov/catalog, or at 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468). Hearing- and speech-impaired customers may order by calling 1-888-321-MINT (6468). All domestic orders will be assessed a shipping and handling fee of $4.95 per order. In addition to the standard shipping and handling fee, there is an additional shipping charge of $7.95 per box of 500 coins because of their weight.
