Bags and Rolls of America the Beautiful Quarters® Program Honoring White Mountain National Forest Available January 28
WASHINGTON - Beginning January 28, 2013, at noon Eastern Time (ET), collectors may order bags and rolls of circulating quality quarters honoring White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire. The new quarter is the 16th coin released in the United States Mint's America the Beautiful Quarters Program, a multi-year initiative to celebrate our national parks and other national sites. The coin's reverse (tails side) design depicts Mt. Chocorua, the easternmost peak of the Sandwich Range, framed by birch trees. Inscriptions are WHITE MOUNTAIN, NEW HAMPSHIRE, 2013, and E PLURIBUS UNUM.
The coins included in the bags and rolls are struck on the main production floors of the United States Mint's facilities at Denver, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. Available options and pricing are as follows:
Two-Roll Set (40 coins per roll)
"P" and "D"
"P," "D" or "S"
Single Roll (40 coins)
"P," "D" and "S"
This year, for the first time, the United States Mint will offer these quarters in a three-roll set that includes one roll each of circulating quality coins from its facilities at Denver, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. Unlike the "P" and "D" mint mark quarters, those with the "S" mint mark will not be released into circulation.
The special numismatic wrapping for the coin rolls displays the name "White Mountain National Forest;" the abbreviation "NH" for New Hampshire; "$10," the face value of its contents; and "P," "D," or "S" for the mint of origin. The canvas bags have a tag with "White Mountain National Forest," "NH," and "P," "D," or "S."
Orders will be accepted at the bureau's online catalog at http://www.usmint.gov/catalog and at 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468). Hearing- and speech-impaired customers with TTY equipment may order at 1-888-321 MINT (6468). Please add $4.95 to all domestic orders for shipping and handling.
