The obverse (heads side) design of the William McKinley Presidential $1 Coin is by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Phebe Hemphill.  The design features President McKinley's portrait and the inscriptions WILLIAM McKINLEY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 25th PRESIDENT, and 1897 - 1901.  The reverse (tails side) design, by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Don Everhart, features a dramatic rendition of the Statue of Liberty and the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and $1.  The inscriptions 2013, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the mint of origin are incused on the edge.

The United States Mint accepts orders at its online catalog, http://www.usmint.gov/catalog, and at 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468).  Hearing- and speech-impaired customers may order by calling 1-888-321-MINT (6468).  Customers should add $4.95 to all domestic orders for shipping and handling.  Because of their weight, orders for the 500-coin boxes will be charged $7.95 in addition to the standard shipping and handling fee.

Collectors may also purchase the Presidential $1 Coin rolls, bags, and boxes through the bureau's Online Subscription Program.  To learn more about this convenient ordering method, please visit http://www.usmint.gov/catalog.

The United States Mint was created by Congress in 1792.  It is the Nation's sole manufacturer of legal tender coinage and is responsible for producing circulating coinage for the Nation to conduct its trade and commerce.  The United States Mint also produces numismatic products, including proof, uncirculated and commemorative coins; Congressional Gold Medals; and silver and gold bullion coins.  The United States Mint's numismatic programs are self-sustaining and operate at no cost to the taxpayer.

Note:  To ensure that all members of the public have fair and equal access to United States Mint products, orders placed prior to the official on-sale date and time of February 19, 2013, at noon ET, shall not be deemed accepted by the United States Mint and will not be honored.  For more information, please review the United States Mint's Frequently Asked Questions, Answer ID #175.
