United States Mint to Introduce Two New Products April 30
WASHINGTON - The United States Mint announced today the addition of two new special occasion coin sets in its numismatic portfolio - ideal for celebrating life's special moments - just in time for the spring gift-giving season! The new products - the 2013 United States Mint Happy Birthday Coin Set and the 2013 United States Mint Congratulations Set - will be available for purchase beginning at noon Eastern Time (ET) on April 30 at the bureau's online catalog, http://www.usmint.gov/catalog.
2013 United States Mint Happy Birthday Coin Set (product code N16)
Priced at $19.95 and ideal for any birthday celebration, this set includes proof quality versions of the following 2013 coins, each bearing the "S" mint mark of the United States Mint at San Francisco:
The coins are encapsulated in a festively decorated folder that allows the obverse (heads side) and the reverse (tails side) of each coin to be seen. Both the front of the folder and the front of the outer sleeve, which holds the folder, bear the United States Mint logo with the words "Happy Birthday!" and "2013 United States Mint Happy Birthday Coin Set" and images of gift boxes and balloons.
2013 United States Mint Congratulations Set (product code N17)
Currently priced at $64.95, this set is ideal for a variety of congratulatory events, including graduations, weddings, anniversaries, retirements, and milestone birthdays. The set includes one 2013 American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof Coin. The coin is encapsulated and mounted in an attractive folder that allows the coin's obverse and reverse to be seen. Both the front of the folder and the front of the outer sleeve bear the United States Mint logo along with the words "Congratulations!," "2013 United States Mint Congratulations Set," and "American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof Coin," as well as images of silver and gold ribbons. (Because of the variability of pricing on the precious metal markets, prices for products containing silver coins are subject to change.)
Both sets have space for a personalized message to the recipient. The Certificate of Authenticity for both sets is printed on the back of the folder, while coin specifications and the official seal of the Department of the Treasury are printed on the back of the sleeve.
