The obverse (heads side) of the William Howard Taft Presidential $1 Coin was designed by United States Mint Artistic Infusion Program Associate Designer Barbara Fox and executed by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Michael Gaudioso.  The design features President Taft's portrait and the inscriptions WILLIAM HOWARD TAFT, IN GOD WE TRUST, 27th PRESIDENT, and 1909 - 1913

The reverse (tails side) features a rendition of the Statue of Liberty by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Don Everhart.  The inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and $1 appear on the coin's reverse, while the inscriptions 2013, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the mint of origin are incused on the edge.
