Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson Joins United States Mint at Whitman Spring Expo
WASHINGTON-The United States Mint announced today that it will occupy booth # 1461 at the Whitman Coin and Collectible Spring Expo March 27-30, 2014, at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Admission is free to the public.
Baltimore Orioles Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson will be at the United States Mint's booth on March 27 from 3-4 p.m. to support the release of the 2014 National Baseball Hall of Fame Commemorative Coins, the first curved coins from the bureau. National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum President Jeff Idelson also will be present. The 2014 National Baseball Hall of Fame Commemorative Coins will go on sale March 27 at noon (EDT). A limited supply of the new commemorative coins will be available for purchase at the Mint's booth, while supplies last.
United States Mint Associate Director of Sales and Marketing Marc Landry will host a public coin forum at the expo in the Charles Street VIP Suite March 28 at 11 a.m. The coin forum is an opportunity for the public to express their views about future coinage and to learn about upcoming United States Mint coin programs and initiatives. Other activities at the Mint's booth include an America the Beautiful Quarters® coin exchange, education table featuring free educational materials and a computer kiosk featuring fun, educational games from the Mint's kid's website at http://www.usmint.gov/kids/.

With the purchase of $75 or more, the United States Mint will offer a complimentary reusable bag bearing the bureau's logo. The promotion, which began Feb. 20, will apply to orders placed at the Whitman Spring Expo, as well as orders placed through the bureau's online catalog, toll-free number and retail sales locations. There is a one bag limit per customer per $75 order.
