Web Site and Shopping Improvements

We have gathered much feedback from many customers about how we can improve our Web site to make it easier for you to use.  We’ve heard you.  In September 2012 we launched our Web Site Improvement Project.  The project involves implementing small but helpful changes that should improve the customer experience of our site.  Improvements will continue in the coming months.  See our visual tour of September 2012 changesWe look forward to your feedback.

In early December 2012 we are implementing a new global (site-wide) header and footer on usmint.gov that is the same across the entire Mint Web Site.  See the visual tour below.

New Header and Global Navigation: The new header gives you quicker access to helpful content and tools. The new global (site-wide) navigation is the same in all areas of the site, making the site easier to navigate.
The new "fat" footer is on every page. It's a quick index to the major content areas of the site. It’s a shortcut for getting to other parts of the Web site quickly.
The catalog section of the site now has the same navigation as the rest of usmint.gov
The new Learn page gathers links to all the coin resources and background information in one page. It is the front door to information about coin and medal programs, collecting, the coin creation process, our education program, our game-filled kids site, our history and the artists who design and craft our coins.
The Left Navigation menu on high-level pages has been modified to match the content listed in the new footer. This should make navigating the site easier.
