Waiting Room for Catalog Web Site

The Mint will deploy its online waiting room periodically throughout the year during product releases that may produce high traffic to the catalog website. The purpose of the waiting room is to alleviate web system slowdowns and/or crashes that can occur when a high-demand product is released to ensure customers can access the website.

Customers will see the following screens when the waiting room is deployed.

New “pre-launch” waiting room screen informs customer that the site is not available until noon ET. It provides a real-time countdown until the site re-opens.
New “front door” waiting room screen informs customer of the need to enter the waiting room in order to gain access to the catalog site, gives options to enter the waiting room or to come back later.
New “welcome” waiting room screen informs customer they have entered the waiting room, provides estimated time until able to access the catalog site, gives option to leave but by doing so, they will lose their place.
New “waiting room paused” screen informs customer the waiting room is paused and should resume shortly, the catalog site. Also an option to leave the waiting room, gives option to leave but by doing so, they will lose their place.
