The park was featured previously on the 1991 Mount Rushmore Golden Anniversary Commemorative Coin and the 2005 South Dakota 50 State Quarter®. Known as a symbol of American freedom and hope, Mount Rushmore is the site of the next quarter launch being held on November 6 at 10 a.m. (MT). A coin exchange will begin immediately following the event. There is a one-roll minimum and 10-roll maximum. But shopping patterns at the historic train station have changed significantly since the kiosk opened, and it closed on September 28. Sales continue, however, at the Sales Counter located in the lobby at the headquarter location at 801 9th Street NW in Washington. The headquarters Sales Counter is Metro accessible and ideally located near many popular attractions in the Gallery Place/Chinatown and Penn Quarter areas. Customers who stop by can also use the coin exchange machine in the lobby to get the latest America the Beautiful® Quarter.
