Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine Quarter Launch and Coin Exchange
2013 Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine Uncirculated Quarter Reverse.

Bask in the history and majestic preservation of Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine in Baltimore. Fort McHenry is the birthplace of our national anthem and served as a prison for political and military detainees during the Civil War. We hope that you will be able to join us at the site on September 13 for a quarter launch and coin exchange that will take place during the fort's Star-Spangled Banner "Defender's Day" celebration.

The quarter launch will take place at 10 a.m. (ET), followed by the quarter exchange, where members of the public can exchange cash for $10 rolls of the Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine quarter. Participants will also be able to enjoy other activities like military drills, musket and cannon firings, military bands, a parade and more. Customers can begin purchasing the quarters in rolls and bags directly from the United States Mint beginning August 26 at noon (ET).
