Music, Anyone?
Music in Our Schools Month

March is known as "Music in Our Schools Month," and the United States Mint H.I.P. Pocket Change™ Web site has music plans for schools.  Our new "Music Plans" page provides a compilation of lesson plans that are about music and involve language arts, mathematics, science, and/or social studies.

The inspiration for these plans comes from the Tennessee quarter's design, with its three musical instruments, and from the District of Columbia quarter, which features an image of composer and band leader Duke Ellington.  Come and peruse these plans for grades K through 6 as a way to celebrate music in education.
