The Little Rock Central High School Desegregation Silver Dollar, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the desegregation of the Arkansas school, was released Tuesday, May 15th. The obverse of the coin depicts a group of children walking to school, escorted by a United States soldier, with nine stars symbolizing the Little Rock Nine. The reverse depicts Little Rock High School, circa 1957.
The coin, available in proof and uncirculated conditions, is currently for sale on the United States Mint Online Catalog at the pre-issue prices of $35 (proof) and $33 (uncirculated)
The John Adams $1 Coin Bags and Rolls are now available on the United States Mint catalog in 25- and 250-coin increments. The 25-coin rolls feature a brand new, patriotic wrapper that identifies which Presidential $1 Coin the roll contains. Both the 25-coin rolls and the 250-coin bags are available from either the United States Mint at Philadelphia or Denver.
Later this year the Thomas Jefferson and James Madison $1 Coin Bags and Rolls will be available.
