Honoring Nisei Soldiers of World War II

These bronze medals recognize the dedicated service and sacrifice of the 100th Infantry Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team (RCT) and Military Intelligence Service of the U.S. Army during World War II. Featured on the obverse (heads) are Nisei soldiers, along with the 442nd RCT color guard in the lower left field. Inscriptions on the outer rim include NISEI SOLDIERS OF WORLD WAR II and GO FOR BROKE, the motto of the 442nd RCT. The reverse design represents the insignias of each of the three units and includes a taro leaf, a traditional Hawaiian helmet, the "Go for Broke" Torch of Liberty soldier patch and a sphinx, a traditional symbol of secrecy. November's Coin of the Month

November's Coin of the Month celebrates the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, the latest quarter to be released in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program. The quarter's design focuses on the Lincoln Bridge, which crosses the site's Travertine Creek.

Have you checked out the Coin Memory Game lately? It has undergone a dramatic transformation. Not only has the design been updated, but you get to choose which H.I.P. Pocket Change Pal and which set of coins you'd like to play the game with!

Both levels in this game test your memory and increase your coin knowledge through an information page. The six collections of coins include information on each of the coin designs in the set currently in play. The easier level (eight pairs) includes images of the 50 State Quarters® and the America the Beautiful Quarters® programs. (These sets appear in random groups of eight.) The more challenging level (12 pairs) uses circulating, historical, commemorative and Presidential $1 coins. Which one will be your favorite?
