B.B. Craig currently serves as the Associate Director of Environment Safety and Health. He is responsible for the effectiveness of operations and compliance responsibility for the environment, safety, occupational health, and fire prevention and suppression matters for the Mint. Prior to his current position, B.B. served as Executive Lead, Long Range Planning from January 2013 until July 2014. He joined the Mint in 2008 and served as the Associate Director of Sales & Marketing until 2013. Prior to joining the Mint, B.B. held several senior-level manufacturing and corporate positions with Dell, Inc., and the U. S. Army.
B.B. has comprehensive manufacturing experience spanning the areas of operations, production control, logistics, and warehouse management areas. B.B. led the operational start up and management of Dell’s Penang, Malaysia, facility in 2001. During his assignment, the plant shipped 35 million systems, establishing new manufacturing records in production, quality and safety. Prior to leading the Malaysia Direct Ship (MDS) Program, he also served in senior operations positions in the company’s manufacturing plant in Nashville, Tennessee.
B.B. has also held senior positions in sales operations, program management and global procurement, supporting a $10 billion business, while managing a budget of $11 million annually. He served in several operational and strategic assignments with organization level responsibilities in safety, training, environmental compliance, logistics, and research and development, as a commissioned officer in the United States Army.
B.B. attended the Harvard Business School; earned a Master’s in Public Administration from City University, New York; and holds an undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University. He also is Six Sigma green belt certified and a member the American Society of Safety Engineers.
