Keith B. Adams joined the U.S. Mint as Associate Director, Sales and Marketing in August 2023. Keith is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end product lifecycle of manufactured products. This includes leading in areas such as demand, design, schedule, pricing, marketing, and profit and loss. His current position leverages his education background highlighted by his Bachelor of Science degree from Shepherd University, where he majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, and his Master of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Maryland.

He most recently served as the Mission Area Senior Program Manager for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Research Service. He advised on critical programs, projects, and initiatives while establishing program and project management policy, authorities, and responsibilities to be administered and implemented throughout the USDA’s Research, Education and Economics Mission Area.

He also served as the Assistant Administrator for the Telecommunications Program in the USDA’s Rural Utilities Service. In this role he managed the Telecommunications Program’s loan and grant programs, with an annual budget of $1 billion, $5 billion loan portfolio, and led the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Broadband Initiatives Program.

Keith’s tenure with the USDA first began in 2001 as a Marketing Specialist with the Foreign Agricultural Service. His experience also includes 17 years with the U.S. Postal Service, where he began his civil service career, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Office of Food for Peace.

Keith serves in his community and is a Commissioner on the Prince George’s County Human Rights Commission. He resides in the Washington, DC area with his son.
