1792-2017 | United States Mint | 225 Years | Remembering Our Past, Embracing Our Future

Until Our 225th Anniversary

On April 2, 2017, the United States Mint celebrates the 225th anniversary of the 1792 Act of Congress that established the first Mint facility in Philadelphia. Today, the Mint continues its mission by producing legal tender as well as commemorative products and medals that memorialize important moments in U.S. history.

To commemorate the 225th Anniversary of its founding, the Mint will produce and issue 24-karat gold coins and corresponding .999 fine silver medals depicting a contemporary design of Lady Liberty and an eagle. Sign up for our newsletter to be notified when these products go on sale.
