A Historic First

This Summer, the United States Mint (Mint) will kick off an exciting new coin and medal series celebrating comic art as a uniquely American artform. The Mint is collaborating with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) to feature DC Super Heroes on genuine US coins and medals, and to celebrate the American values and heroic ideals that these characters represent, values and ideals that built this country and continue to guide it today.

These original handcrafted designs come to life at the hands of Mint Chief Engraver Joseph Menna, an icon in the comic art field who has previously designed for DC,  who now merges his comic book expertise with genuine American coins.
