During the past month, new information and activities have been added to the United States Mint H. I. P. Pocket Change™ Web site.  To help you learn "What's New for You," we've listed and linked these features below.

Coin of the Month

For the November Coin of the Month, Plinky introduces the Chickasaw National Recreation Area Quarter.  Learn more about this national site and the Lincoln Bridge, including who it's named after, by visiting the November Coin of the Month page in the kids' area.

New Quarter Tools

New on the site this month:  the Chickasaw National Recreation Area Quarter Day in the Classroom page.

This special page of related activities and information will help you make the release of this quarter (and subsequent quarters in the program) memorable occasions for your students!

Veterans Day Activities

November is the month we celebrate our nation's veterans.  Be sure to visit our Veterans Day page, which features great information on many of the coins and medals that honor veterans.  This page is linked to several Veterans Day teaching resources, including a WebQuest, lesson plans, and Teacher Features.

Thanksgiving Activities

Visit our Thanksgiving Day page to learn why and how we celebrate this special day, who the Pilgrims were, and where you can find related activities for your classroom.  In our Coin-a-Copia Teacher Feature, students use glyphs and a legend to analyze and interpret data.
