Helen Keller's Birthday

Helen Keller was a June baby, born June 27, 1880.  Help your students learn more about this famous woman, different methods of communication, and the five senses with the 2003 Alabama quarter lesson plans.  Be sure to browse all of our 50 State Quarters® lesson plans available for grades K through 12.

Kites and Bulbs

Benjamin Franklin's 1752 kite experiment probably took place in June.  With our Franklin's Try 'N Fly game, you try to collect lightning by flying a kite!

June is also National Science Month.  Celebrate by playing Inventor's Challenge, where you experiment with filament materials to see who can make the longest burning light bulb!

Coin of the Month
