Mintage Limit is the total number of a coin manufactured across all products. (For example, a coin may be available in rolls and in our annual sets).
Product Limit is the number of a coin made available in the individual product.
Household Order Limit In cases where we have limited-mintage products (e.g., legislatively mandated or Mint established production or mintage limits), the United States Mint may impose order or household order limits. Order limits help us ensure that we provide fair purchase opportunities to the broadest audience possible. As we monitor our products, limits may be implemented, adjusted, or removed at our discretion.
2020 America the Beautiful Quarters® Program – Weir Farm National Historic Site Rolls and Bags
The Weir Farm National Historic Site quarter is the second in 2020 and 52nd overall in the America the Beautiful Quarters Program.
Weir Farm National Historic Site is associated with the development of American Impressionism during the height of the artistic movement at the end of the 19th century. The park was home to three generations of American artists beginning with Julian Alden Weir, who acquired the farm in 1882.
Weir Farm is a pristine setting where contemporary artists can connect and paint in the same place that many American masters did. Designed and preserved by artists, the historic site is a singular crossroads of creativity, art, and nature.
Weir Farm includes a 60-acre cultural landscape consisting of 15 historic structures, including houses, barns, studios, and outbuildings. The landscape features historic gardens, stone terraces, orchards, fields, stone-laid walls, a pond, and hundreds of historic painting sites—all expertly preserved. The artistic tradition at Weir Farm is kept alive through an Artist-in-Residence Program, free art supplies, night painting, and art classes.
The coin’s reverse design portrays an artist wearing a painter’s smock, painting outside Julian Alden Weir’s studio at Weir Farm. It was inspired by various images of the studio and Weir’s paintings created on the property, as well as descriptions of Weir and his fellow artists’ creative inspiration from the rural environment. The inscription “A NATIONAL PARK FOR ART” is included. Additional inscriptions are "WEIR FARM," "CONNECTICUT," "2020," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
Please Note: United States Mint coins are rolled by an automated machine process and not by hand. We cannot guarantee that the obverse (heads) or reverse (tails) of a coin will be at either end of a coin roll.
