To commemorate the semiquincentennial of our Nation’s founding, this special one-year issue of the American Eagle Gold Coin bears the dates “1776 ~ 2026” and a unique Liberty Bell privy mark with the numeral “250.” The obverse (heads) design features Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ classic full-length figure of Liberty with flowing hair, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left.
The new reverse of each coin features a portrayal of a majestic eagle. Inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and the face value and weight of each coin.
To complement these stunning designs, each 22-karat coin is encapsulated and placed in a stylish clamshell and classic black presentation case with the United States Mint seal on the lid.
