2021 American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin™

Background

The 2021 American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin is the fifth coin in the American Liberty series. Since its debut in 2015, the American Liberty Gold Coin and Silver Medal Program features coins and medals with modern depictions of allegorical Liberty on the obverse. The reverse features complementary eagle designs. The designs represent what liberty means to each of us individually as Americans, or collectively as a nation.

The obverse design of the 2021 American Liberty coin features a bucking American Mustang horse. It is a departure from the traditional, classical portraiture personifying liberty as “Lady Liberty.” The interpretation is a bold representation of the determination and power of the passion for American liberty.
