WASHINGTON — The United States Mint announced today that customers may begin placing their orders for the limited–edition John Tyler Presidential $1 Coin Cover at noon Eastern Time (ET) on July 2, 2009.
Priced at $14.95, the coin cover features two John Tyler Presidential $1 Coins from the first day of mintage at each facility–February 23, 2009, for the United States Mint at Philadelphia, and February 17, 2009, for the United States Mint at Denver. The coins are mounted on a handsome display card inside an envelope with a 44–cent United States Flag postage stamp. The postmark of MAY 21, 2009, marks the day the John Tyler Presidential $1 Coins were first released to the Federal Reserve Bank and to the public.
Customers may purchase the John Tyler Presidential $1 Coin Covers at the United States Mint’s secure Web site, www.usmint.gov/catalog, or by calling the toll–free number 1–800–USA–MINT (872–6468). Hearing– and speech–impaired customers with TTY equipment may order by calling 1–888–321–MINT (6468). A shipping and handling fee of $4.95 will be added to all domestic orders.
