WASHINGTON — The United States Mint will open sales for 2013 United States Mint Limited Edition Silver Proof Set on December 12 at noon Eastern Time (ET). Mintage for this set is limited to 50,000 units, and there is no household order limit. The eight–coin set includes the following 2013 coins.
- One American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof Coin
- Five America the Beautiful Quarters® Program Coins honoring White Mountain National Forest (New Hampshire), Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial (Ohio), Great Basin National Park (Nevada), Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine (Maryland), and Mount Rushmore National Memorial in (South Dakota)
- One Kennedy half–dollar
- One Roosevelt dime
The American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof Coin is the collector version of the official United States Mint American Eagle Silver Bullion Coin. This coin contains .999 fine silver and bears the “W” mint mark of the United States Mint at West Point. The quarter, half–dollar, and dime are struck in 90 percent silver – generally referred to as “coin silver” – and bear the “S” mint mark of the United States Mint at San Francisco.
The 2013 United States Mint Limited Edition Silver Proof Set is priced at $139.95. Orders will be accepted at the bureau’s online catalog at http://www.usmint.gov/catalog or at 1–800–USA–MINT (872–6468).
