Mintage Limit is the total number of a coin manufactured across all products. (For example, a coin may be available in rolls and in our annual sets).
Product Limit is the number of a coin made available in the individual product.
Household Order Limit In cases where we have limited-mintage products (e.g., legislatively mandated or Mint established production or mintage limits), the United States Mint may impose order or household order limits. Order limits help us ensure that we provide fair purchase opportunities to the broadest audience possible. As we monitor our products, limits may be implemented, adjusted, or removed at our discretion.
The 2017 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set® includes two folders, each containing 10 coins with uncirculated finishes. One folder is from the U.S. Mint at Philadelphia and the other is from the U.S. Mint at Denver.
The 2017 edition of the United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set includes the following uncirculated coins.
- The eighth annual release of five uncirculated quarters in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program–Effigy Mounds National Monument in Iowa; Frederick Douglass National Historic Site in Washington, DC; Ozark National Scenic Riverways in Missouri; Ellis Island in New Jersey; and George Rogers Clark National Historical Park in Indiana
- Native American $1 coin
- Kennedy half dollar coin
- Roosevelt dime
- Jefferson nickel
- Lincoln penny
United States Mint uncirculated coins are struck on special presses using greater force than circulating coins, producing a sharp, intricately detailed image. 2017 marks the 225th anniversary of the United States Mint. To mark this momentous occasion, we are proud to introduce for the first time a “P” mint mark on the Lincoln penny in the Philadelphia folder.
