Since June 2026, Vasquez serves as the Acting Chief of the Office of Design Management of the United States Mint.

In this role, he oversees all candidate design portfolios and is responsible for presenting them to the Commission of Fine Arts and the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee.

Vasquez first joined the U.S. Mint at San Francisco as an engineering technician in 2002. In 2014, he moved to the United States Mint Headquarters in Washington, DC to work as a program manager in the Office of Design Management. In that capacity, he has managed the Artistic Infusion Program and established strong working relationships with artists, subject-matter experts, and stakeholders to develop designs for United States coins and medals.
