Since September 2026, Peter Bergstrom serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the United States Mint.

Peter brings extensive senior executive experience to the Mint, having previously served as Administrator for the Treasury Common Services Center (TCSC), Chief Financial Officer and Associate Director for Management at FinCEN, and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Management and Operations at the U.S. Department of Education. His combination of bureau-level financial leadership and enterprise-wide operational management makes him uniquely suited to oversee the Mint’s financial operations.

Peter is a native of Seneca, Illinois, and holds degrees in Economics (BA), Business Administration (MBA), and Public Administration (MPA). Above all, he is a dedicated father of two daughters and one son.
