To commemorate the semiquincentennial of our Nation’s founding, this special one-year issue of the American Eagle Palladium Uncirculated Coin bears the dates “1776 ~ 2026” and a unique Liberty Bell privy mark with the numeral “250.” The obverse (heads) design features a high-relief likeness of Winged Liberty from the Mercury Dime obverse—a classic design by world-renowned sculptor, Adolph A. Weinman. In keeping with the original Mercury Dime design, inscriptions are “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” “1776 ~ 2026,” and Adolph A. Weinman’s distinct initials.
The reverse (tails) design features a high-relief version of the 1907 American Institute of Architects Gold Medal reverse, also the work of Weinman, which includes an eagle and a branch. Inscriptions are “UNITED STATES of AMERICA,” “$25,” “1 OZ. Pd” (the chemical symbol for palladium), “.9995 FINE,” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
Each coin is encapsulated and placed in a satin-lined black velvet presentation case accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. This collector favorite is a rare blend of classic design, modern craftsmanship, and precious metal prestige—a standout in modern numismatics.
