In recognition of the 230th Anniversary of the original Flowing Hair Dollar, 230 of the 230th Anniversary Flowing Hair High Relief Gold Coins were produced with a “230” privy mark on the obverse. These privy-marked coins include a special numbered certificate of authenticity signed by United States Mint Director, the Honorable Ventris C. Gibson.  

These 230 coins will be available for purchase through a special auction hosted by Stack’s Bowers Galleries on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT.

230th Anniversary Flowing Hair Silver Medal with Privy Mark

In honor of the 1794 release of the original Flowing Hair Dollar, 1,794 230th Anniversary Flowing Hair silver medals were produced with a “230” privy mark on the obverse. In recognition of the coins 230th anniversary, 230 of the privy-marked medals also include a special numbered certificate of authenticity signed by United States Mint Director, the Honorable Ventris C. Gibson. These special variations were randomly inserted into unmarked packaging to give all our customers a fair and equal opportunity to obtain these limited-edition pieces.
