Background

In 2013, the U.S. Mint honored five United States Army 5-star generals by minting three commemorative coins in the 5-Star Generals Commemorative Coin Program.

Characteristics

The obverse features a portrait of General Douglas MacArthur with the 5-star insignia on the right side of the design. The reverse features the Leavenworth Lamp, the symbol of the Command and General Staff School.
