In 2019, the U.S. Mint released the American Legion 100th Anniversary Silver Dollar Coin as part of the American Legion 100th Anniversary Coin Program. The program includes a $5 gold coin, $1 silver coin, and half dollar clad coin to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the American Legion.

The obverse (heads) design depicts the American Legion emblem adorned by oak leaves and a lily, commemorating the founding of the American Legion in Paris, France.
The reverse (tails) design represents the founding of the American Legion in Paris in 1919. Above the crossed American and American Legion flags is a fleur de lis and the inscription “100 Years of Service.”
