Make the holiday season special with this eye-catching ornament from the United States Mint.
Two of our Mighty Minters, Layla and Eli, are celebrating the season by decorating this gingerbread house ornament. The Jefferson nickel is at the top of the gingerbread house surrounded by a green wreath and topped with a red bow. Icing snowflakes decorate the wall and door as the finishing touches to this sweet house. “United States Mint” and “2025” are on the front door of the house.
The Jefferson nickel reverse is featured on the ornament. It includes an image of Monticello, the famous home of Founding Father and former U.S. President Thomas Jefferson. The coin was designed and sculpted by Felix Schlag. Inscriptions are “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “MONTICELLO,” “FIVE CENTS,” and “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.”
An engraved Mint seal is on the back of the handcrafted ornament, which is constructed in solid brass and finished with the silvery sheen of imitation rhodium. The packaging features the ornament’s design on the front and a description on the back that serves as a certificate of authenticity.
