WASHINGTON — Sales for the 2009 United States Mint Presidential $1 Coin and First Spouse Medal Set™ (John Tyler–Julia Tyler) will begin August 25, 2009, at noon Eastern Time (ET).
The set, offered at $8.95 per unit, contains an uncirculated John Tyler Presidential $1 Coin and a Julia Tyler Bronze Medal bearing the same likeness featured on the First Spouse Gold Coin struck in her honor. The coin and medal are mounted in a durable plastic card enhanced with handsome portraits of the President and first spouse. Issuance information is annotated on the back of the card.

Presidential $1 Coin and First Spouse Medal Sets honoring James K. and Sarah Polk, as well as Zachary and Margaret Taylor, will be released later this year.
