United States Mint Releases the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Three–Coin Set™ — Yosemite

WASHINGTON – The United States Mint will begin accepting orders for the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Three–Coin Set – Yosemite on March 3, 2011, at noon Eastern Time (ET). The set, priced at $14.95, includes one uncirculated Yosemite National Park quarter–dollar from the United States Mint at Philadelphia, one uncirculated quarter from the United States Mint at Denver and one proof quarter from the United States Mint at San Francisco.

Orders will be accepted online at http://www.usmint.gov/catalog and at 1–800–USA–MINT (872–6468). Hearing and speech–impaired customers with TTY equipment may place their orders by calling 1–888–321–MINT (6468). A shipping and handling fee of $4.95 will be added to all domestic orders.

The reverse (tails side) design of the Yosemite National Park quarter depicts the iconic El Capitan, which rises more than 3,000 feet above the valley floor and is the largest monolith of granite in the world. Inscriptions are YOSEMITE, CALIFORNIA, 2010 and E PLURIBUS UNUM. The obverse (heads side)–common to all United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Program® coins–features the 1932 portrait of George Washington by John Flanagan, restored to bring out subtle details and the beauty of the original model.
