2016 United States Mint Silver Proof Set® Available April 18

WASHINGTON – Sales will open for the 2016 United States Mint Silver Proof Set (product code 16RH) April 18 at noon Eastern Time (ET).

The set contains the following 13 coins from the United States Mint at San Francisco:

  • Three Presidential $1 Coins honoring Richard M. Nixon, Gerald R. Ford, and Ronald Reagan;
  • Five America the Beautiful Quarters® Program Coins honoring Shawnee National Forest (IL), Cumberland Gap National Historic Park (KY), Harpers Ferry National Historical Park (WV), Theodore Roosevelt National Park (ND), and Fort Moultrie (Fort Sumter National Monument) (SC);
  • One Native American $1 Coin honoring Native American code talkers, with a reverse design featuring two helmets with inscriptions “WWI” and “WWII,” and two feathers that form a “V,” symbolizing victory, unity, and the important role that these code talkers played;
  • One Kennedy half dollar;
  • One Roosevelt dime;
  • One Jefferson nickel; and
  • One Lincoln penny.

The quarters, half dollar, and dime are struck in 90 percent silver.  All coins bear the “S” mint mark of the United States Mint at San Francisco.  Each set includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
