Philadelphia Mint Bronze Medal 1 5/16 Inch
Mintage Limit is the total number of a coin manufactured across all products. (For example, a coin may be available in rolls and in our annual sets).
Product Limit is the number of a coin made available in the individual product.
Household Order Limit In cases where we have limited-mintage products (e.g., legislatively mandated or Mint established production or mintage limits), the United States Mint may impose order or household order limits. Order limits help us ensure that we provide fair purchase opportunities to the broadest audience possible. As we monitor our products, limits may be implemented, adjusted, or removed at our discretion.

The obverse of the medal features the main entrance view of the United States Mint at Philadelphia on Independence Mall with the inscription “UNITED STATES MINT PHILADELPHIA.” The inscription of the date, “AUGUST 14, 1969,” marks the official opening of the largest and most modern quarters ever to house the Philadelphia Mint, and the fourth move in its 177-year history. The inscription, “DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY” is centered along the bottom of the medal.
The reverse of the medal features our national emblem, the Eagle, with the wings displayed. The balanced scales of Justice, and the key denoting an office of state have been a part of the Treasury Department seal since its use by the Board of Treasury under the Articles of Confederation. In the eagle's right talon is the olive branch, symbolic of peace. The stars on the United States map denote locations of the 17 mint institutions, past and present, which have played a part in our Nation's history since establishment of the Mint and a national coinage system in 1792.
