Semiquincentennial Half Dollar 2026 Rolls and Bags - 9/11 Enduring Liberty

• In commemoration of the lives lost from the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and February 26, 1993, the Mint is offering special-issue Enduring Liberty Half Dollar coins in rolls and bags with a privy mark of “9-11-01” encircled by the phrase “NEVER FORGET.”
• Circulating-quality coins are available in a 20-coin roll and a 100-coin bag.
• These coins were struck at the Philadelphia Mint.
• Coins will be available to pre-order during a window opening September 10, 2026, and closing September 25, 2026, at 3 p.m. ET. Shipping is expected to begin December 3, 2026.

In commemoration of the lives lost from the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and February 26, 1993, the Mint is offering special-issue Enduring Liberty Half Dollar coins in rolls and bags with a privy mark of “9-11-01” encircled by the phrase “NEVER FORGET.” A pledge to never forget the Americans whose tragedies and heroism marked September 11, 2001.

“These unique Enduring Liberty Half Dollars embody the honor and bravery of the victims, survivors, and first responders of those fateful terrorist attacks,” said Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

U.S. Mint Director Paul Hollis added, “Offering these special coins to a greater number of Americans affords more of us a tangible reminder of how the Nation came together on that fateful day, and provides us opportunity to educate younger generations, many of whom were not even born, about the sacrifices made.”

The obverse design shows a close-up view of the Statue of Liberty, her steadfast gaze looking outward as if toward the future. The inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “1776 ~ 2026.”

The reverse design features Liberty passing her torch, its flame trailing with the momentum of purpose, to a new generation. Inscriptions are “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “HALF DOLLAR,” and “KNOWLEDGE IS THE ONLY GUARDIAN OF TRUE LIBERTY.”
