The Semiquincentennial President Donald J. Trump One Ounce 24K Gold Proof Coin is the first 24-karat gold proof coin ever struck by the U.S. Mint that depicts a sitting President. Containing one ounce of .9999 fine 24-karat gold, these lustrous coins are among the world’s purest gold coins. Expertly struck with a flawless proof finish, the coin showcases mirror-like fields and finely frosted details that bring depth and intensity to the portrait. It combines everyday American coinage with a once-in-a-generation anniversary design destined to become a standout addition to modern collections.
This special one-year issue of the semiquincentennial gold coin bears the dates “1776 ~ 2026.” The obverse (heads) features a portrait of President Donald J. Trump with the inscriptions “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “1776 ~ 2026.” Obverse was designed by United States Mint Chief Engraver Joseph Menna, inspired by an official White House photo by Daniel Torok.
The reverse (tails) design features the Presidential Seal, which shows an eagle holding an olive branch and a bundle of arrows, with a shield on its breast and a banner inscribed “E PLURIBUS UNUM” in its beak. The shield contains the additional inscription “250” to honor the Semiquincentennial of the United States. The additional inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," “1 OZ,” “.9999 FINE GOLD,” and “250 DOLLARS.”
The coins—minted at the West Point Mint.
To complement this historic design, the coin is encapsulated and placed in a stylish clamshell and classic black presentation case with the United States Mint seal on the lid. The case fits into an outer sleeve with a beautiful gold foil image of the Seal of the President of the United States. It also includes a certificate of authenticity.
